RIP Joseph M. Wilcots

This last month on Dec 30th, Joseph M. Wilcots— the first African American to join the International Cinematographers Guild— died from complications from a stroke.

He was best known for his work on "Roots", but the article published in the LA Times obituaries makes it clear that Wilcot's remaining legacy is not just based on his talent, but his compassionate, gentle and kind nature... What a great thing to be remembered for.
